Release Project Manager - Seattle
Since we continue to add projects, we need to also add Project Managers to help keep our customers happy!
What you’ll be doing:
Our Project Managers drive the porting and customization of Swype for our OEM partners. This includes a day to day task list of issue management and customer relationship management for porting projects from inception to close. You will report to the Senior Product Manager.
- Provide clarity and leadership to the project team on project goals and approach
- Drive engineering to meet quality goals
- Manage & reconcile schedule and resources across multiple sub-projects
- Track, communicate and mitigate project risks
- Identify and track key metrics critical to project success
- Communicate schedule and status as it applies to the project
- Help resolve critical cross-group technical or project issues
- Build strong relationships across teams and organization

…and since we are a startup, anything else that gets assigned!
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree; working towards a PMP is nice to have.
- Demonstrated excellence, passion & leadership in project management in the mobile or software industries.
- Demonstrated history of successfully meeting business goals in a startup environment.
- Detail oriented & results-driven.
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate the big picture view to stakeholders and business owners.
- Strong cross-group communication & negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MSFT Office, and an advanced user of Excel.
- To give you some guidance, it has probably taken you 2 – 3 years as a Project Manager at companies which value this function to build these skills to their necessary level to be successful in this role.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to travel internationally via airline
- Must be able to work in the U.S.; we’re not looking to provide Visa sponsorship.
